Ahhhh, Passiflora bogotensis. I love the cute black flower buds and pretty flowers………..if only it loved me enough to bloom!

Yeah, I did take these pictures, but not on my plant! Passiflora bogotensis will grow fine and survive triple digit heat and minor freezes, but you will not see any flowers if given these conditions. It is a good thing that the leaves are cute, otherwise it would be quite a disappointing plant. I took these photos at a friend’s house that just happens to live where this plant thrives (you can check out more photos of his here. At least I have the opportunity to enjoy the flowers on his plant, but I’m not holding my breath to ever see them on mine! I still have hope that someday it may just surprise me.
